Sofia and Dorian’s Sand Dunes engagement session at Bruneau Sand Dunes near Mountain, Home, Idaho was an adventure! We had already rescheduled their session once due to rain storms, and when it came time for the day of the session, we experienced a few more small showers. However, it actually made for the most gorgeous sky and dreamy even light! Thankfully, Sofia and Dorian were troopers and survived the whole session in the strong wind and sprinkles here and there!
Sofia chose the most gorgeous dresses for their session that blew beautifully in the wind. In my engagement session style guide, I encourage couples to add a little extra personality or styling to their session by bringing items like a hat, blanket, or bouquet. She picked up flowers at Trader Joe’s and made this gorgeous bouquet herself! Would you even believe it? It turned out so beautifully and complimented the colors of their sand dunes engagement session so perfectly!
Sofia and Dorian’s love story began when they met each other at church youth group. Sofia’s bubbly, confident personality led her to introduce herself to newcomers, one of which was Dorian. After hanging out for awhile and some prompting from friends, they started dating. They each come from extraordinary backgrounds with families that both immigrated to the United States. Sofia’s family came from Russia, and Dorian’s family came from Ukraine. We can’t wait to capture their June wedding!
