Edwards Greenhouse Senior Session

Katie was my first senior session for my 2020 seniors, and oh my goodness, we had so much fun! It could not have been a better way to jump back into senior session season! Though my focus has shifted to doing mostly engagements and weddings these days, seniors will always have a special place in my heart. I remember hitting the huge milestone of senior year like it was yesterday. I remember stressing over my outfits and having them laid out for weeks. I remember being so excited to get professional portraits done for the first time in my life!

I love that it’s now my job to create those moments! I love the excitement and joy seniors bring to their sessions! I’ve recently implemented a senior style guide to help all of my senior girls pick out the perfect outfits, locations, etc., to make their senior photos the best experience ever! Katie followed the guide to a T and it couldn’t have turned out better. She spent the day getting pampered with everything from nails to hair to makeup…because let’s be honest, if there’s ever a time to get pampered, it’s now! She had the fabulous Morgan Dyer from TSG Artistry do her makeup and looked absolutely stunning for her session!

We started out at one of my favorite little places in Boise, Edward’s Greenhouse. I am so grateful that they open up their beautiful gardens and greenhouses to the public and absolutely love when I get to shoot there. We had so much fun utilizing all of the different benches, chairs, and of course, plants! Then, we headed up to another personal favorite, the Boise Military Reserve, to catch sunset in the foothills. It was the perfect evening!

Katie, it was such a blast getting to know you and capture your senior photos! I wish you all the best as you head into senior year and hope it’s the best year yet!
