Camel’s Back Summer Engagement

Shelby and Oscar’s Camel’s Back Summer Engagement session was so dreamy! After a few days of rainy, strange weather–especially for summer in Boise–we got the perfect evening! That did mean, however, that all of Boise decided to go out to the park walking, hiking, running, and biking, but who can blame them? We can all share the trails, right? 🙂

Shelby and Oscar grew up going to the same elementary, middle, and high school! Because of this, they don’t even really have a story as to how they met each other. They have kind of always just known each other! They remember one of their earliest interactions dating back to 7th grade, though I’m sure they had bumped into each other even well before that.

The two started dating each other their freshman year of high school and have been together ever since! They have truly grown up together as they met as kids in high school, and are now adults with jobs, a dog, and a cat! After over a decade together, Oscar got ready to pop THE question!

Oscar and Shelby have an ATV and had planned a trip to go to Moab with their friends. Unfortunately, their friends had to cancel and the trip didn’t go through. So, Shelby and Oscar decided to road trip to the Grand Canyon instead with a stop into Moab on the way back. After spending the day together and hiking around Moab, Oscar got down on one knee, and totally surprised Shelby! He even set up a go pro camera “for the sunset,” to capture her entire reaction and photos of the proposal.

We loved hanging out with them for their engagement session, and we can’t wait for their Water’s Edge Wedding this September!
