This Fall Micro Wedding was the perfect day. Shelby and Oscar originally planned to have their September wedding at Water’s Edge Event Center in Eagle, Idaho. However, due to Covid regulations, they chose to have their big reception at their venue next year. After nearly 10 years together, Shelby and Oscar knew they didn’t want to wait any longer to tie the knot. So, they moved forward with their original ceremony plans and shared an intimate gathering with their bridal party and family. Even though it was different than they had originally pictured, it was the perfect celebration!
We had the most perfect, temperate Fall day and a thin cover of clouds for Shelby and Oscar’s wedding ceremony. Some smoke that drifted in from wildfires made for evenly lit, gorgeous images! Shelby’s bridal party wore warm touches of fall colors of burnt orange and burgundy. It was beautiful and bold in combination with the groomsmen’s navy suits.
One of the great things about their delayed reception was that we got to do a full golden hour session following their ceremony. Usually, on a traditional wedding day, we have just a few minutes to sneak out of the reception and grab some portraits in the beautiful golden light. Instead, we had plenty of time for golden hour photos and got to highlight numerous locations!
Shelby and Oscar, congratulations on finally becoming husband and wife! We are so excited for you two, and we cannot wait to celebrate with you again next year at your reception!
