We had so much fun adventuring with Cam and Ashlyn for this Dreamy Arizona Desert Session!
Every year in January, David’s family takes a trip to the Arizona desert. Usually the agenda is sun, warm weather, and a little bit of golf. This year, we couldn’t help but sneak away for an evening to take some photos in the desert!
We have admired desert photo sessions since we started following Amy and Jordan Photography. Something about the dreamy light and unique cacti just begs to be photographed! We were so thrilled when Cam and Ashlyn wanted couple photos, and were up for an adventure!
Cam and Ashlyn are both juniors at Grand Canyon University, and are the sweetest couple. Cam is from Idaho, and we have known him for a few years. They met in college, and it was so fun getting to have them in front of our cameras.
We headed towards Usery Mountain Park, and were blessed with the most gorgeous evening. Although it wasn’t the warmest Arizona day, the sun was shining and the light was so dreamy!
One of the most interesting parts of shooting somewhere new is getting to check out all of the different nature. I’m sure Cam and Ashlyn got tired of us asking about cacti, creatures, and all things Arizona. They were nice to us, though, and answered all of our questions!
After our shoot, we headed towards Joyride Tacos in Gilbert! Gilbert is a suburb of Phoenix, but had the most adorable little main street with fun restaurants. One of our favorite parts of travel is getting to experience so many unique places. Oh, and obviously we love to enjoy the local food as well!
