We had such a wonderful time at this classic elegant Florida wedding styled shoot at Simpson Lakes in Dade City, Florida. After planning this shoot for months, it was so fun to see it all come together! We worked with a fantastic team of vendors in such a cool area, and it was a joy to be a part of!
As we were planning our trip to Florida to escape the Idaho winter, we knew we wanted to plan a styled shoot. We had a picture in our heads of a gorgeous sunny day and warm weather. We could almost hear a gentle breeze moving through the palm trees. It was just going to be magical! What we hadn’t imagined was swapping a gorgeous sunny Florida day for a rainy one! And boy did it rain!
We were so thankful that our beautiful venue, Simpson Lakes, had beautiful white walls and lots of indoor space! We knew we could still create magic, even though the weather wasn’t cooperating.
While dreaming up the day with Abi from Weddings by Abi, our top priority was to create a classic and elegant feel. She took our vision and ran with it, making it the styled shoot of our dreams! Abi and her team did so much work to make this day happen. We are so grateful we got to work with them! Thanks to our gorgeous venue, beautiful florals created by Patina and Petals, and even a white 1961 Rolls Royce, it truly was a lovely day!
One of our favorite parts of the day was also a wedding first for us. We had a live painter on site, creating gorgeous water color art! Shelby Swygert is so talented and the sweetest person. It is such a fun addition to the wedding day. We hope to see live painting make its way into the wedding scene even more!
Overall, it was a fantastic day with so many amazing people! Thanks again to all of these fantastic vendors for their collaboration, time, talent, and services in making this day happen!
