Maddie and Chase’s Dreamy Fort Desoto Engagement was seriously straight out of our dreams! It was such a joy to travel across the country to serve this amazing couple. They were naturals in front of the camera, and we had SO much fun! We even got to finish the evening with a fun dinner at one of their favorite spots in St. Pete! It was a day we will certainly remember for a long time!
Maddie and Chase’s story is so sweet. If it weren’t for a short work stint in Georgia for Chase, these two never would have met! In fact, he didn’t love his time in Georgia as a whole, but what came from the trip was definitely worth it! The two quickly fell in love, and Maddie moved to Florida when Chase moved back! When Chase knew he wanted to propose, he put a plan in motion for a perfect Mexico proposal! Unfortunately, his plans looked stuck when the ring didn’t arrive in time for their trip!
But when something is meant to be, nothing can get in the way!
Chase rolled with the punches, and proposed to Maddie at a romantic dinner on the beach. The only thing missing from the perfect proposal was the perfect ring. Thankfully, Maddie didn’t mind too much! She said yes, and got to complete their engagement with the perfect ring shortly after they arrived home!
You might remember that this isn’t the first session we did at Fort Desoto! In February, we got to capture this sweet Fort Desoto Florida Couples Session, so we thought we knew what to expect when we arrived! If we have learned anything about Florida, though, it’s that the weather can be a little unpredictable! When we arrived at Fort Desoto, the wind was whipping through the park! Once you got out to the beach, it was really blowing! We knew we needed to find spots where it wasn’t as windy to keep Maddie and Chase comfortable and looking great! So, we went off running around the park for an hour and found some gorgeous spots! You would never even know it was windy with the way these two were glowing in front of the camera!
We could not be more excited to celebrate Maddie and Chase with their friends and family. Their wedding next November at the beautiful Powel Crosley Estate will truly be what dreams are made of! And most importantly, these two will finally get to commit their lives to one another and have a full day celebrating their love!
