Kate and Chantry’s Romantic Spring Still Water Hollow Wedding was the perfect start to our Idaho wedding season! While we had two weddings earlier this year, our Selby Gardens Florida Wedding and Whimsical California Spring Wedding were a bit earlier in the year, and out of state, so this felt like the official start! We knew Kate and Chantry would be fun to celebrate, but the day was perfect from start to finish! There was even a little bit of luck involved, but we’ll get to that later!
We were thrilled to be connected with Kate and Chantry through the family of one of last year’s grooms! It is always such an honor when people enjoyed their experience with us enough to refer us to friends. And we are so thankful we got to meet Kate and Chantry because of it!
We officially met Kate and Chantry last fall at their engagement session! At their engagement session, we loved hearing how they met through friends who lived across the street from one another. Kate and Chantry met at a get together with those friends, and the rest was history! We loved getting to spend an afternoon with them at the engagement session, and couldn’t wait for a full day celebrating their love at their wedding!
We knew it would be such a joyful day as these two officially became husband and wife!
The weather in Boise this Spring has been unpredictable – to say the least. But, we were so excited when we saw the forecast for Kate and Chantry’s big day – 80 and sunny! No better wedding weather. And it was just the most beautiful day for the early part of the day. We even got a nice cloud cover during their romantic ceremony, which kept things nice and cool!
But, after moving inside for the reception, things started to turn. It was POURING rain outside, and we were so afraid Kate and Chantry were going to miss out on dreamy golden hour portraits. Thankfully, this is where a little luck came into the day. Right as we were hoping to head out to golden hour portraits, the rain cleared and the sun came out. We had the most beautiful golden hour session, and it was the perfect way to finish their wedding day!
Kate and Chantry, we know marriage is not always rainbows and butterflies. But, we hope your wedding day weather was an indicator of things to come. While there will always be storms coming your way, there is always sunshine on the other side. Keep that in mind, and keep the love you have for one another at the center. You two are so great together, and we wish you all the joy and happiness as you start this new season of life!
