Sam and Robbie’s Dreamy Sand Dunes Session was so much fun! And if you’re feeling like you have some deja vu, you might be right! It’s not the first time we have adventured to Bruneau, Idaho with Sam and Robbie! We captured their Romantic Sand Dunes Engagement in this very spot way back in 2020. But this time, there was a special twist, but we’ll get to that in a second!
We got to be a part of Sam and Robbie’s wedding experience in 2020! Through a crazy year, they planned the most amazing Fall Deer Flat Ranch Wedding. Not only did they have a fun, beautiful wedding, Sam and Robbie are just the sweetest people. It has been an absolute joy photographing them the past few years! It seems like almost every time we have mini sessions, Sam is one of the first to jump at them!
It’s been so fun to see them add to their family – first with two pups, and now with their sweet daughter Blakely!
That’s right! The “special twist” to this session was that it was the first time they came back to the sand dunes as a family of three! While we recreated some of the original photos of Sam and Robbie from their engagement session, Blakely stole the show! She smiled for the camera the entire evening. We probably have Sam to thank for that, who used Blakely’s camera toy to practice the week leading up to the session!
This session was a great reminder why we are so thankful for this job. Not only do we get to celebrate with our amazing couples on their wedding day, but we get to document their lives afterwards too! It is so fun seeing families grow, life change, and love stay as the constant through it all. Sam and Robbie, thank you for asking us to capture this session for you two. You are amazing parents to little Blake, and you love each other so much. It’s been such a joy getting to photograph your lives over the past few years. We can’t wait for more!!
