As wedding photographers, we have had the pleasure of capturing countless couples in their happiest moments! From the engagement session to the big day, it’s a joy to see couples in love. But as important as the wedding day is, we believe that it’s equally important to keep dating each other well beyond that day. And if you’re lucky enough to live in Boise, Idaho, you have plenty of date night options to keep the romance alive. Here are some of our favorite Boise Date Night ideas!
1. Check out downtown Boise’s restaurant scene
First and foremost, we all know a good date night involves food! One of our personal favorite spots for a date night out is The Wylder in downtown Boise. The ambiance is modern and inviting. The menu features delicious sourdough pizza with locally sourced ingredients. We love it so much, when Redfin reached out asking us to share a Boise favorite, we chose to write about The Wylder! If you go, make sure to try the Honey Badger pizza. Though the combination of spicy fennel sausage, goat cheese, and honey may sound a little weird, we promise it’s the best pizza you’ll have! A few of our other downtown favorites are Owyhee Tavern (happy hour deals!), The Fork, and Barbacoa.
2. Go for a hike in the Boise Foothills
Second, If you’re both nature lovers, a hike in the Boise Foothills is a great way to spend a day together. There are plenty of trails to choose from, ranging in difficulty from easy to strenuous. We love the Foothills so much, you’ll notice we shoot a lot of our engagement sessions there including this Boise Military Reserve engagement session!
3. Take a stroll or bike ride on the Boise Greenbelt
If you want to spend time outside, you have to check out the Boise River Greenbelt. The Greenbelt is a 25-mile trail that runs through the city and offers stunning views of the river and the surrounding landscape. It’s the perfect spot for an evening stroll or a bike ride. 4. Visit the Boise Farmers Market
Finally, if you’re looking for something a little more low-key, a visit to the Boise Farmers Market is a great option. It’s open on Saturdays from April through December, and features local produce, artisan goods, and live music. It’s a great way to support local businesses while spending quality time together.
