Rain on your wedding day is supposed to be good luck, and we definitely think that is the case on this Rainy Fall Still Water Hollow Wedding! We had such a great day celebrating Makinze and RJ. While we fought the rain early in the day, it definitely didn’t take away their shine. It was such an exciting day to be a part of, and a joy to celebrate the sweet couple!
Makinze and RJ’s relationship started as just a friendship during the pandemic. They hit it off immediately, but weren’t sure they were going to date. Friends and family saw right through it, and when one of RJ’s friends asked for Makinze’s phone number, RJ wasn’t so sure. Over time, they became inseparable and realized there was something there more than friendship.
Because of the pandemic in California, there were less options for activities. While this may seem hard on a new relationship, what ended up happening was more time spent with close family and friends. This created such a unique, special bond between all of the special people in Makinze and RJ’s lives.
We met Makinze and RJ through The Porch, the young adults ministry at our church. It was such a huge honor when they asked us to be a part of their wedding day!
All of our clients feel like friends, but getting to celebrate your actual friends is extra special!
The rain was present most of the early part of the day, but we were able to dodge it! Still Water Hollow proved to be the perfect venue for the day! From moving the ceremony into the gorgeous chapel to the perfect indoor reception, it was the most lovely wedding day! But what was the most beautiful was hearing Makinze and RJ commit their futures to one another. Their relationship foundation being set on love for God first, and one another second will no doubt serve them well as they step into this next season of life.
Makinze & RJ, it was so fun getting to be a part of your big day. We are so excited for you as you become husband and wife, and lean into all that God has for you in this next chapter of your lives.
