A Dreamy Idaho Winter Elopement
In the winter months, it’s pretty rare that I get to do any kind of wedding photos, so when Whitney reached out asking about coverage for a small ceremony and portrait photos for their Idaho elopement, I was elated! No matter how big or small, I love when people invite me to be a part of one of the most memorable days of their lives. It means the world that my clients trust me to document these moments and share in the joy of this day. Whitney and Gage had an intimate ceremony at the Ada County Courthouse with their family. There were tears shed, hugs given, and lots of excitement surrounding the start of their marriage. Afterwards, we headed to the Boise foothills for their bridal portraits.
After almost 8 years together, Whitney and Gage are now husband and wife! They both grew up in the small town of Burley, Idaho and knew each other throughout high school. Rumor has it that Gage stole Whitney from one of his friends, who was dating Whitney at the time. I think he made a pretty good steal, seeing as it has worked out pretty well for them! These two were so much fun to hangout with and get to know. I nearly had to remind myself that I was working and not just there to chit chat!

Whitney is a hairstylist and esthetician (I mean obviously, look at that gorgeous curly hair!) and Gage works as a writer and bartends at Chili’s. A little known fact about me is how much I love Chili’s. I know, it’s kind of a weird thing, but it was a restaurant my family frequented growing up. It has remained near and dear to my heart through the years. When Gage mentioned honey chipotle chicken crispers–my go-to order at Chili’s–I knew we were going to get along just fine!
The sweetness of their relationship radiates throughout these images. I’m so excited for these two and the start of their marriage. Congratulations Whitney and Gage!
