Sam and Ethan’s wedding day included a few firsts for us. For starters, it was our first time ever shooting at the beautiful Fox Canyon Vineyards! It is such an amazing place in a more rural part of Idaho with the most gorgeous view of the Snake River and a romantic little vineyard.
It was also the first time we photographed a couple who was already married! Sam and Ethan’s beautiful love story has been unique as they are both in the military and got married about a year ago in Florida. Both of them are from Idaho, and wanted to come back home to celebrate their love with their closest friends and family. There was no shortage of love all around! It was so apparent how loved and appreciated Sam and Ethan are by their friends and family.
Sam and Ethan chose to have their ceremony on what felt like the edge of the world overlooking the river… What a dream! The officiant at the ceremony was actually our pastor who also married us, which was so much fun! We knew Ethan’s family from church as well, but getting to know them personally was so much fun for us, and it really just felt like we were shooting a wedding for friends and not just clients! We finished the day with beautiful golden hour photos in the vineyard on the property, and with some great tunes and dancing – as always.
When you look at these photos, you might be wondering just how on earth we found a canyon, vineyards, and mountains! But really, we didn’t. A couple days after Sam and Ethan’s wedding, we ventured to Idaho City for a bridal session! We had so much fun hanging out with these two in the mountains!
Sam and Ethan, thanks for letting us be a part of your big day. We loved getting to know you and work with you, and wish you all the best as you continue on in marriage and through the next chapters of your lives. We know your faith will be a guiding force in your marriage, and can’t wait to see the story God has for you unfold!
