The Cottage at Riverbend is a VRBO property that lends itself to weddings and events! I got to tour it a few months back and absolutely fell in love with it. The property is home to an early 1900s house that was recently renovated by Timber and Love, as seen on HGTV as the Boise Boys. Not to my surprise, they did a wonderful job updating it while keeping the original charm of the house. They even included appliances and knick knacks from the time period in the remodel of the home! Needless to say, it is absolutely adorable! The property itself has mature trees, perfectly manicured landscaping, and even a rustic wood fence. It was the perfect spot for Micah’s senior photos!
Micah’s older sister Morgan is actually getting married at the property later this year, which is what brought the idea into action. When they were touring the venue, they realized it would be a great location for Micah’s senior photos as well!
I had the pleasure of capturing Micah’s other older sister, Maddie’s senior photos a few years back! It is truly crazy how quickly time flies! I absolutely love getting to work with families over and over again as each of their children graduates and moves on to bigger adventures.
This year is obviously quite unique for seniors, as school has been cancelled for the remainder of the year due to Covid-19. Micah plays softball, and was especially bummed to miss out on her senior season of softball. I remember the senior nights and milestones vividly in my own mind, and my heart aches for the seniors that have to miss out on that! Regardless, we made the most of it and had so much fun capturing Micah’s senior photos at her Cottage at Riverbend Senior session!
