This Private Idaho Ranch Wedding at Dusty and Joe’s family property in Gooding, Idaho was absolutely beautiful. You may remember their dreamy engagement session at the same property from last Fall. We were so excited to visit again for their wedding! The property has acres of cattle grazing land, crops, mature trees, and an actual river runs right through the property by the house. Not only that, but it has the most beautiful, old, rustic barn that featured as their ceremony backdrop. They put in so much work preparing for this wedding from planting new grass for their reception area, fixing up the barn, and building arches and decor. Needless to say, the work was so worth it!
After moving their original June wedding date due to Covid, they chose to reschedule for August 1st. They lucked out, because their original date in June had quite the storm! However, it was a trade off for a very hot–about 103 degrees hot–sunny day. We found plenty of shade to attempt to keep everyone cool, and by evening, it wasn’t even a thought!
One of our favorite things about Dusty and Joe’s wedding day was their ceremony. Dusty rode into her ceremony on a horse drawn carriage. That’s right. It was straight out of a Cinderella story! Guests were seated on the most beautiful wooden church pews placed outside their rustic barn. She saw a church getting rid of the pews online, and knew she had to have them for the ceremony! The officiant cracked the best jokes and truly allowed the ceremony to be their own.
Dusty and Joe, thank you for choosing us to capture your wedding day. There may have been a few bumps and hiccups along the way, but it was so wonderful to finally make it to this day. It was absolutely perfect! We wish you nothing but the best as you begin your married life together!
