I knew Krysten from high school and was so excited when she reached out to me about wedding photography. She has been with Derik since high school, so it was fun to watch their relationship evolve over the years. When she told me their venue was Harmony Ranch, I had no idea what to expect. I had never seen or heard of it before, and didn’t get a chance to get in to see it before the wedding, so I was hoping for the best! It ended up being the most quaint and sweet venue hidden in Eagle, Idaho.

I have had the opportunity this summer to shoot some fun country weddings! Being in Idaho, that seems to be a common theme amongst some of my couples, and it is so fun to see all different kinds of rustic details being brought into the wedding day! Abby and Ryan’s wedding was no exception here! From getting to take bridal party photos at Abby’s family’s ranch, to the groom and his groomsmen wearing cowboy hats, boots, and jeans, it was yet another amazing Idaho wedding day! Sometimes people find me on Instagram, or Facebook when searching for a photographer…but sometimes I get to photograph friends of mine too! I lead Young Life at Eagle High, which is how I happened to meet Megan. Last Fall, she had just moved to Boise from the Seattle area at the start of her junior year of high school.

I am so excited for these two to tie the knot! I’m not just excited because they are adorable together or super fun to photograph — although those things are pretty great too. I am excited because Nate and Kathy are dear friends of mine.

Bruneau Sand Dunes was well worth the drive for Chris + Alia’s engagement photos! Her dress blew beautifully in the wind, the sunset was beautiful, and we had a blast. I even found out that we have a bunch of mutual friends…welcome to small town Boise!

From hand-designed cornhole boards, to wine cork succulent favors, their fine touches and careful thought showed throughout the whole wedding. Their love for each other was so evident through the whole day, and I couldn’t be happier for their new marriage! 

When Ellen suggested doing her senior photos in a library, I couldn’t help but say YES!

Can you say foothills beauty? This location was perfect for Maddie’s senior photos! Maddie had an entire car full of cute outfits…I thought to myself, “If only you could have seen me in high school.” She was so natural and beautiful in front of the camera! Congratulations Maddie!
