If you are one of my brides, you may already know, or will soon come to find out, that you get an engagement session style guide to help you with every little detail of your engagement session! It shares every tip in the book on picking flattering color tones, pairing your outfit with your fiance’s, adding in fun details, and more. While these things are so incredibly helpful to know, you may still be wondering… Where exactly am I supposed to shop for these outfits? Below are my top 5 recommendations on where to shop for your engagement session!
1. Rent the Runway
Rent the Runway has some amazing options! If you want designer quality and style while only paying $30-$60, Rent the Runway is for you! I don’t know about you, but every time I have an event to attend or a photoshoot to dress up for, I never want to wear what I already have in my closet. I always want to go out and buy a new dress, but after I wear it to the event, it not longer serves a purpose…especially if it’s on the fancier side! The best part about Rent the Runway, is that it’s a rental. You aren’t stuck with a dress you may never wear again taking up space in your closet. That’s what I call a win, win. Their site allows you to filter styles, sizes, colors, and more. It even has photos from people who have rented the dresses so you can really see what the dress looks like when it’s on!
2. Morning Lavender
Morning Lavender has the most beautiful color tones…hence the name! They are known for their gorgeous flowy dresses that are perfect for the bride to be! Their earthy and soft color tones are absolutely stunning on camera! Their styles occasionally sell out because they are in high demand, but if you search early enough before your session, you’ll find exactly what you’re looking for!
3. Madewell
For the shorter, more casual sun dress style, Madewell is a great option! From rompers, to jumpers, to sun dresses, they’re the perfect mix of classy and fun! Unfortunately, I couldn’t upload their images here, but click here to see what I’m talking about!
4. H&M
When thinking about where to shop for your engagement session, H&M may not be the first store to pop into your mind. As you may know, H&M has it all…but I was pleasantly surprised to find just how many dresses they have that would be perfect for your engagement session, or even mix and match bridesmaid dresses!
5. Nordstrom Rack
Last but not least, one of my favorite places to find dresses (and on a great deal) is Nordstrom Rack! You have to be willing to dig, but sometimes they have just the right thing! David and I were there this past weekend, and he practically had to rip this gorgeous Jenny Yoo dress away from me. Isn’t it perfect?! These dresses usually run around $300, but this one was on sale for $100 at Nordstrom Rack. It’s worth the dig, especially if finding a sale gives you the kind of joy it gives me! This dress isn’t even listed on Nordstrom Rack online, as I’ve found to be true with many Nordstrom Rack items….so go to the store and get ready to search!
