Dreamy Idaho Engagement: Hayley + Zach

This Dreamy Idaho engagement session was absolutely stunning! We went to one of our favorite Boise foothills locations, the Military Reserve. It’s extra special to David and I because we actually got engaged there ourselves. You can read more about our story, engagement, and wedding here!

David and I both knew Zach from leading Young Life together over the past few years. We have survived 24 hour bus rides to Canada together with over 100 high schoolers, all the messy nasty games you can think of, and everything else in between! So, when Zach and Hayley reached out about having us do their wedding and engagement photography, we were so excited!

Zach and Hayley actually met through their moms! Zach’s mom threw a party at her house, and just so happened to be neighbors with Hayley and her mom. Naturally, Hayley and her mom came to the party, and immediately, the moms started scheming to get their son and daughter together. You know how moms have a way of trying to play matchmaker? Well, it doesn’t usually seem to work it…but this time, it did! Zach and Hayley were the perfect fit for each other! They got to know each other, started dating, and the rest was history!

When it came time to pop the question, Zach knew Hayley wanted her mom and sister to be present when the proposal happened. Hayley is originally from northern California, and they had a trip planned to attend the U.S. Open and visit Napa! Zach had planned a boat cruise on Lake Tahoe…dreamy right? Unbeknownst to Hayley, both of their families were waiting at the dock for them. Just as the boat was pulling in to dock, Zach popped the question! Then, they got to spend the weekend celebrating with both of their families. How sweet is that?

It has been so fun for us to get to know these two even better as they prepare to become husband and wife! We can’t wait to celebrate with them at their Still Water Hollow Wedding this upcoming May!
