Idaho Dreamy Ranch Engagement Session

We got to do something a little out of the ordinary for this Idaho dreamy ranch engagement session! Instead of shooting in the foothills or at a local park, we drove to Gooding, Idaho. Joe’s family has a beautiful thousand acre ranch in Gooding, Idaho. It was an absolute dream! Instead of waiting for local bikers, pedestrians, or dogs to pass by, as we often do at local shoots, we had the whole place to ourselves. It was like our own private, fall photography oasis! We even got to hangout with some cows at the end of the session!

Dusty and Joe originally crossed paths at the University of Idaho. They both majored in Agriculture and shared classes together. Dusty claims that she caught Joe starting at her in class (but I mean, when you see these photos below, can you even blame him?! She’s stunning!) After graduating college, Dusty got a job with Northwest Farm Credit as a ranch Appraiser and moved to Gooding, Idaho. Conveniently, Joe was also back in Gooding working on his family’s ranch. He invited her over to his family’s house for dinner and the two hit it off immediately!

When it came time to pop the big question, Dusty was sick and heading out of town. Joe couldn’t wait a moment longer, so he dragged her out of bed and took her for a drive on the ranch! He took her to a special spot and asked her to be his wife. We love that the ranch holds so many special moments for them. To make things even better, their wedding is at the ranch next June! We absolutely cannot wait to capture their big day!
