As David and I were preparing for Sarah and Dillon’s Sixty Chapel Fall Wedding, we (when I say we, I mean mostly David) had been watching the forecast closely! We knew that it could be a little chilly in the mountains towards the end of October, but we had no idea we should expect a snow shower! Needless to say, it was nothing short of an adventure!
Going into the wedding day, we knew if there was any bride that would choose to make the best of the situation, it was Sarah! The morning of the wedding, she posted an instagram story about how magical the snow was! She wasn’t panicked, she wasn’t upset, she simply made the most of it and took it as a blessing! Later, after the wedding, she shared that “God decorated the mountains,” for their wedding day! What a way to look at it. We are so grateful for her joyful outlook!
The snow intermixed with the Fall colors of the changing leaves at Sixty Chapel in Garden Valley, Idaho, was absolutely breathtaking. I think Sarah was right when she said God decorated for them! It was the most beautiful combination of seasons I have ever seen. Their ceremony took place outside with the stunning backdrop of the mountains and Fall colors behind the altar.
As Sarah walked down the aisle, Dillon was in tears. If you don’t believe just how emotional and truly beautiful it was, trust me, the pictures say it all! I legitimately cried along with them as they shared their excitement to be married. Dillon’s brother officiated the wedding, and he said it best when he shared, “When some people get married, you’re not always so certain it’s the best idea! But with Sarah and Dillon, absolutely no one here has a single doubt that these two belong together.”
Sarah and Dillon, we absolutely loved being a part of your wedding day. We couldn’t be more grateful to serve amazing couples like you!
