Our evening at Rachel and Taylor’s Boise Foothills Desert Engagement was absolutely wonderful! While the winter blues are certainly in full swing, a beautiful evening in the foothills was what we all needed!
Finding a beautiful location in the winter in Boise can certainly be a challenge. But, we decided to take some inspiration from our Dreamy Arizona Desert Session, and head to the foothills! While the Boise desert doesn’t have cacti, it does have a beautiful landscape surrounded by the mountains. We had a gorgeous golden hour, and some unseasonably warm temperatures!
One of the things we love about our job is working with clients that feel like friends. Rachel and Taylor are no exception! We had such a great time laughing, and enjoying the evening. It hardly even felt like work!
Rachel and Taylor met at work at St. Lukes in Boise. They started out just chatting as friends, but it grew from there and they instantly had a connection. After a year and a half of dating, Taylor decided a family trip at Lake Tahoe was the perfect place to propose! Rachel’s parents got married in Lake Tahoe, themselves, and her sister got engaged there as well.
Rachel and Taylor went out on a boat on the lake early in the day, and Rachel saw the ring box in the boat, so she knew something was up! While they were on a hike to a lookout later in the day, they saw their friends and family on a boat. They were holding a sign that said “Rachel, will you Marry me?” Sounds like such a romantic scene!
We are so excited to be celebrating their wedding later this year in Garden Valley, Idaho at Rachel’s family property! We can’t wait to see their love on full display.
