Boise River Spring Engagement

This Boise River Spring engagement session was extra sweet. Mairyn and Bryan actually got engaged just a couple months ago at the very bridge you see in the images below! They frequently walk around this area on the Boise Greenbelt together. Bryan knew it would be the perfect place to propose to Mairyn and take her by surprise in a location that is beautiful and special to them. It was so fun to revisit this spot with them for their engagement session!

I initially met Mairyn when we lived on the same dorm wing freshman year of college at NNU. Wow, have things changed since then! Mairyn and Bryan’s story began around the same time frame. NNU has a longstanding tradition of a number of events that happen during welcome week, the first week back to school. Each year, they host all sorts of events from late night roller skating, to rootbeer floats served by the president of the university and a movie in the quad, to a massive bonfire.

Mairyn headed to the bonfire with her roommate–though ironically, there was no bonfire due to a fire ban put in place by wildfires! But nonetheless, they decided to go. Mairyn’s roommate wanted to meet up with a friend that was on the baseball team, so naturally Mairyn came along. After they had met up with her roommate’s friend, and his new friend from the baseball team, Mairyn’s roommate ditched out and left her! Oh freshman year. What good times. So, Mairyn decided to make the most of the situation and got to know Bryan that night, and they have been together ever since!

I was so excited when she reached out about wedding photography. It’s so fun when you have witnessed a couple’s story and are invited to capture one of the biggest days of their life! Mairyn and Bryan are planning a woodsy, cozy wedding in January at Still Water Hollow. We cannot wait for their winter wedding!
