Romantic Sand Dunes Engagement

Sam and Robbie’s Romantic Sand Dunes Engagement Session was such a dream! Sometimes I walk away from a session or wedding wondering how on earth I got so lucky. I get to photograph the sweetest couples in the most gorgeous places during one of the biggest milestones of their lives. It’s safe to say I have the best job of all time! After a lot of changed plans this Spring, and spending more time in the office and less time out shooting, this session was one that filled my tank!

Sam had requested that we venture out to Bruneau Sand Dunes for their engagement session, after seeing this session we did there earlier this Spring. I love the fun and the challenge that the Sand Dunes bring between the constant wind and the ability to play with the sun. I just knew it was going be a great engagement session! They showed up with the most perfect outfits of all time and rocked their session!

When we first met with Sam and Robbie for their consultation a few months ago, we loved getting to hear all about their love story! They found each other through mutual friends and sparked a relationship that began with a conversation about their love for their dogs! They weren’t together long before they knew that this was headed towards marriage and they were ready for the next step. Like they say, when you know, you just know. Robbie proposed after they had stopped on a sunset drive in one of their favorite places. It was picture perfect!

Toward the end of Sam and Robbie’s consultation, we were asked to leave Starbucks as corporate had just announced their decision to close their lobbies due to Covid-19. It’s not easy planning a wedding, and it’s certainly not easy planning a wedding in the middle of a world-wide pandemic, but Sam and Robbie have handled it with so much grace. We are so excited for their October wedding at Underhill Garden in Boise, Idaho.
